I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
