Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The attacks succeed nights of air raids in the region, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
